Easter Monday

Much of today has been spent (and is still being spent) marking OU assignments. But we did manage an hour and a bit on the allotment. We've not been there for a couple of weeks, and you could really see how little rain we've had - the ground we'd dug up previously was rock hard! (it's clay, so just dries out so quickly). I found the digging quite hard going today, as the ground was so hard.

Here Pete is standing next to a big old plank he dug up just before we left. We still keep finding bits and bobs like this, but this is the biggest one yet. We'd definitely end up with funny-shaped veg if they had to grow round something like this!
