The life & times of Jacks

Big Fish

We flew to Belfast on Friday for a long weekend as a friend from University got married on Easter Sunday. After picking up what was the most expensive and crappiest car ever from the car hire place we finally got to the hotel and then went out to explore Belfast.

It was a lovely day and we wandered up buy the harbour and met Big Fish.

We tried to go to The Crown Bar which we were told is the oldest bar in the whole of Ireland (reputedly) but not really thinking of it being Good Friday didn't realise it would be shut. Any bars that were open were not actually serving any alcohol. Instead we found a cute little bakery where we enjoyed some toasties and tea.

Later in the evening we met up with Claire and Bob (Wing Wai- her nickname is Bob - long story), two of my old Uni flatmates and Claire's husband. We had some lovely cocktails before heading for some gorgeous food at the Ginger Bistro - recommend it if you are in Belfast looking for some good food.

Lovely day was had by all I think. Even Big Fish who enjoyed the company in this sunny but still unseasonably freezing cold day.
