Real music and dancing!

Yes, live music at last, at Crook Morris Christmas Ceilidh in Kendal Town Hall.  Music from the Tumbling Tom Big Band, although this year there were only two of us in the brass section, one trumpet and my alto sax.  There were fewer dancers than in previous years, and the dances were re-arranged so that there wasn't the usual swapping partners in every dance, but it was a great success.  (It was the 40th birthday of both Crook Morris and the band, hence the decorations.)
The trumpet player and I had already played during the day at the Dickensian Festival in Ulverston - again a reduced occasion without the usual crowds and bitterly, bitterly cold!
