Clearing cleared. Is that clear?

Sara and Mabel celebrated pulling up the last bramble in our woodland clearing this morning over a cup of coffee.

Of course it will be an ongoing battle, but we've made a big start and the bluebells that are left will have a better chance of thriving.

Later today we split our latest load of logs and stacked Sara's half in her woodshed. The way this bitter winter is going on and on, we may be glad of them.....
