Old friend

Dropped the dogs off at day care and then went to the airport to collect an old friend from London what we hadn’t seen since before the first lockdown. Had to pop over to Brewstore to collect some ingredients and then back to the house to catch up. J went into the office for a meeting with one of the directors first thing. We had booked the Lookout restaurant for noon for the tasting menu and matched wines. The venue is fantastic up by the observatory with great views over the city. It was blowing a hooley up there but the seagulls seemed to enjoy hanging in the wind outside the window. Meal was nice but a bit over priced, all but one of the wines were nice as well. Went back home to wait for the dogs to get dropped back on the bark n ride. Started to get very tired and a headache later in the day. Night in with the fire on hiding from storm Arwen with cheese for dinner. We were all knackered and fell asleep watching a film at 9pm so headed to bed.
