Raindrops on pine needles

It was Mr Rat's birthday today so after my stint at the vaccination centre he picked me up and we went for lunch at the community cafe in Tayport (good food).
Then along to Tentsmuir for a walk and to see the damage from Storm Arwen. Huge numbers of trees are down and it wasn't possible to get into the forest - and notices daying not to try. The trees are in very sandy soil and the ones at the edge were uprooted, causing a domino effect inland, and others were snapped off, very sad to see but I suppose it is a natural thing. There were pretty effects like these raindrops, though, on some of the fallen ones.
The tide was out so it was possible to walk along the beach, and the extra shows the mist rising off the Tay by Dundee.
