Thames walk..

Today we met up with friends and walked along a part of the Thames..not quite the walk we had planned because the wind was ready to strip the skin from our faces but it was fun anyway and ended very satisfactorily in a pub with a good hot cup of tea!! On our way along we passed this house with a spectacular carved plaque on the front of it. We found out that the house had been built in 1902 for Jane Morris .. the then widow of William Morris. The plaque was designed by George Jack and depicts William Morris himself sitting under a tree on the meadow. (it looks warmer than it was today!)
