Fallen Tree Mistletoe

Walking around the park at lunchtime I came across a tree that lines one of the paths that had succumbed to Storm Arwen, breaking at its junction with the ground and blocking the path.

I'd noticed that these trees often had mistletoe in their upper branches and with it topping I was able to get at a small sprig of the parasite.  I reckon that many people had got there before me because it really was a sorry looking section that was left.

These were the only berries on the sprig, which I've captured using a macro lens and the focus shift function on the camera.
