Award

Graham heard last week that he’s been awarded a distinguished service award from the British Sociological Association. I gave him this card and flowers to celebrate. It came completely out of the blue and he was well chuffed. He’d actually nominated someone else for the award so felt a bit embarrassed to get it himself. It’s very well deserved having worked as a sociologist in academia for 40 years. Although he retired in August, he’s still doing academic work, currently writing a book. I guess he’ll stop one day!
