FEEDING TIME FOR THE PHEASANTS

In my garden I have quite a collection of wildlife, and many regular Pheasants, male and female who know they are safe and looked after. They bring the young each year, usually 10-12 sadly they never seem to last long, as each day there are fewer, until only a last few survive, sad that so many don't make it.
Most have names, Freddie a large male in the photo has been here for some years now, and patrols his patch sending off any intruders, with quite a fight, while still managing to chase the ladies with his puffed up feathers.
