Too early?

Our “suppliers” of Christmas trees for the past quarter century are retiring. No more the loading of a 9-10 ft tree onto the roof of the car and driving back from Comrie heading down the M9 at 70mph.

Having ordered our tree online locally and knowing that it was already felled I decided we needed to collect it, cut off the base of the trunk and get it into water in the hope that it would draw up moisture and keep the tree more fresh. Leave it too long and the base may have dried too much.

I’ve no idea if this theory holds (water) but we’ll see.

So the tree is installed but decoration will wait a while.
