Jim Button

Still struggling like mad to find photos for September where I deleted them all by mistake from my mobile.

This is a screenshot of a video taken on this evening's dog walk. Two locomotives in strange livery and not belonging to German, Austrian or Swiss national railways.

I posted it on Twitter asking for ideas and sure enough someone came up with the answer. They belong to a private German/Bavarian railway Co "IGE" who are active throughout Europe, mainly freight but also passenger/special trips. The livery is based on Jim Knopf  (Jim Button) 1960 German children's book about "train-life" .

For the Train Spotter freaks, the Locomotive numbers are IGE 482 046 & IGE 482 047
