Val Thorens

The original "La Folie Douce" is a restaurant in Val d'Isère that opened in 1969. The restaurant is in the style of an old cheese co-op and uses local produce to create traditional Savoyarde cuisine. Since then they opened two more restaurants, one in Méribel and another in Val Thorens, where we skied today. It's unbelievable how much snow they still have; their closing date this season is May 8th. It's crunch time to get to the 50 day mark this season and we still have 9 days to go, so it's a good thing there is still a ton of snow out there!
