Late Birthday Surprise

All my weeks of plotting and scheming paid off.  I went to Oban for a 'bit of shopping'.  R and H travelled there by train and we met in Roxy's cafe (which can highly recommend).  Texted M that I'd managed to get everything on the list plus a couple of extra treats.  We caught the 3.55pm ferry and I drove us back up to Tobermory.  Dropped R and H in the lane before arriving at the house.  P and J had just arrived so it got a little chaotic with the timings but managed to unload the shopping, make sure M was in the kitchen and then R and H walked in.  M's face was a picture!   Think he's still a bit shell shocked.  Am backblipping after a truly lovely evening and a special breakfast of scrambled eggs and hot smoked salmon.  P and J have headed off for a walk, we're about to go to the Xmas Fayre, and then who knows what tonight will bring?
