St Yves

St Yves a saint from Brittany was born 17 October 1253 and dies in 1303.  He was a priest and a barrister, pleading for the poor.  This statue has been in the family for many years and I inherited it from my Tante Marie when she died.   His very interesting life story is here if you can read old French!  Never having read old French I was surprised at just how much can be understood.

This is the second Sunday in Advent so two candles are lit!
