Car Park Puddle, Bray

The Dargle River divides the north side, known as Little Bray, from the main street through the heart of the town. The old humpbacked bridge is a bottleneck for traffic. Facing south, to the left of the bridge there is a long, gravelly and muddy car park, on the edge of the derelict golf course that could, if the council cared about such things, make a lovely park for nearby residents or anyone who strolls along the river (though it is of course sold and chalked for 'development' (i.e. another grey zone).  It is one of those places where you can get a certain angle on the humped, bustling town, with its clutch of lights bristling under the last slash of wintery twilight.
