If you can't beat them...

Collared Dove ( Streptopelia decaocto )

A bird that always gives me joy, (well to tell the truth all birds do) as it seems so exotic.  I suppose for most younger than me it is just another British bird.  I was 9 when it first bred in the UK, down in Norfolk.  It is native to Turkey and the middle east but a sudden expansion began in the 1930s.  Now it can be found most of the way up the Norwegian coast and has occurred in Iceland as a vagrant.

A quiet day with Kanyl.  Punctuated by a trip to Cocklakes Farm shop as Clickychick wanted a few things.  Despite the website telling us when we checked opening times that the café was closed owing to Covid we were pleased to find it open.  So coffee was enjoyed.
