The three amigas

It was sunny but pretty cold today, like in the 30s. The chickens are pretty hardy stock though. We've opened both gates on either side of their garden enclosure as Avi decided she wanted to jump over continuously.  I'm not too worried about them getting into anything they shouldn't as it's all pretty much dead. They are enjoying scratching through all the grass though. Three of the older girls were clustered behind the dead goldenrod in a perfect trio. This is Goldie, Miss Wattle and Little Brownie. I liked the way they looked together.
Then we had a little porcupine trundle into the garden area and eat this and that. It got stuck in the back corner and couldn't figure how to get out and was attempting to climb the fence. Dan went out with a 5 gallon bucket and a shovel and gently scooped it into the bucket. He deposited it out where it could go where it needed to. And off it scampered.
