Some ties to rhyme with pie(s)

Cold but not frosty this morning meant that traffic was quite light and I made it to the warehouse in time for our early meeting. Just a catch up to discuss the plans for the day and it wasn’t long before we were getting set up for our volunteers. A great bunch (mostly) today who worked hard to empty the boxes of toys delivered at the weekend form the various drop off points.

It makes sense to empty the boxes into trolleys and walk round to put the gifts at the correct age group/gender but there are always a few who will pick up a couple of items and wander off with them. Maybe they want to get their steps up?

We had sufficient stock to pick gifts for 963 children which is not too far off our target of 1200 a day. Hopefully there will be some more deliveries first thing tomorrow as we’re looking light again on several age groups.

Home via the supermarket and whilst Mr PHL cooked dinner, I sorted out the washing and got the ironing pile into some semblance of order.

I’m now resting on the sofa nursing a sore arm which starts to ache around 9 each night. Not sure what I’ve done but might have to strap it up tomorrow!
