Stormy celebration

My extra photos bookend the day - a picture taken early this morning before the storm, just after I had cleared away anything around the house  that might blow about and walked up to the gate to make sure it was firmly closed , and then a picture a few hours later  when the sleety rain was pelting the windows front and back.

However my main image is of a lovely candle holder, given to us by friends a few Christmas’ ago, which was needed when we lost power late morning, though fortunately for less than an hour.

As for  the celebration - well, we have been here at Feorlean fro 29 years , moving in on the 7th of December 1992 as tenants of Archie McNaughton, with an option to buy , which we did the following October after we had sold our house in Tillietudlem, from where we had moved in August 1992 on Cathleen’s appointment as Head Teacher of Kilmodan Primary in the Clachan.

It will be 30 years next year - I think a proper celebration will be in order then  and on hopefully a less wild and windy day .
