The History Lesson…..

Margaret and I spent the day pounding the footpaths of downtown Wellington. I am tired and footsore tonight. Early on, we passed a group of schoolboys and their teacher at the Katherine Mansfield statue in Lambton Quay. The students were learning about Katherine Mansfield (1888 - 1923) who was one of New Zealand’s most talented and famous writers of the modernist movement. The lads seemed to be taking a great interest in her story.
