Patchwork Advent Calendar

I was given an unusual Advent calendar for my birthday this year. Each little box contains a piece of material. When they are all sewn together they make a patchwork quilt. These are the first three pieces joined to make the first block.
There is, apparently a picture for the finished quilt under all the boxes but I’m deliberately not looking at it so that each piece is a surprise.
