Professor Umbridge’s tea rooms

Hay on wye in the morning, wandering in and out of shops. Hot chocolate was consumed…
Then a quick drive to Brecon through a couple of villages I lived in as a child (bronllys and Talgarth). We mostly kept dry.
In Brecon we visited a wellness centre that has three of Rani’s painting hanging on the walls. A Phoenix, a mandala and a peacock. They are so beautiful. She wasn’t sure they’d still have them, or remember who she was… but they were delighted to see her in person, and insisted on taking photos with the artist. Everyone was happy.

We had lunch in The Duchess, the interior felt like professor umbridge’s study, all pink, without the undertones of menace I should say.

Then off to our bnb for the night. Neither of us slept much last night, so I think we’ll have a good go tonight.
