Make Every Day Memorable

By Jorgiesmum

After 4 weeks I’ve removed Lucy’s waistcoat and revealed a fully feathered chest.
My delight however, has been very short lived.
As you can see a large number of the feathers are now red instead of grey! This could be as a result of her feather plucking ( a very common problem with African Greys) but it could also be seen as a symptom of liver disease
Another visit to the vet is now a priority BUT that can cause so much stress, it might cause more harm than good. Unlike Stan, who is very laid back, Lucy really doesn’t cope with strangers.
She appears totally fine in every other way so I’m hoping that the feather mutation IS due to her plucking
