Don't.....

judge  choose a book by its cover.....was a message I gave English students along with the clear caveat that I often do! The point of this advice is that if, when you open the book, you do not like the way the author writes, you are a little stuck! 

This photo is of the cover of a book that I chose off the website! I think it has character and mystery. The writer did not disappoint with her gritty and sometimes vividly realistic prose. On this occasion the choice of cover tallied with the narrative.
