Friday Walk

We stopped off at the NT's Blickling Estate for a walk on the way home. Hadn't checked beforehand - we've been there many times, the estate's always open during the day - but apparently a pre-booked ticket was required to go into the main carpark in the run-up to Xmas (i.e. from late November!!). Luckily we found another small carpark much further along the road & this gave us access to the main woods. The weather was overcast with a cold wind; the sun didn't emerge at all until mid afternoon, when we were driving home. We enjoyed the walk, but, with such flat light, I wasn't tempted to get the camera out. The only exception was for this broken branch, where the textures & colours of the split wood & the encrusting fungi & lichens caught my eye.
