The Beeches

This rather forlorn looking villa stands at the edge of Newlands, a desirable residential area on the Southside of Glasgow. Built about 1900 and possibly designed by the Glasgow architect H E Clifford, (similar features to the one next door) it's had an uncertain future of late.
It was a care home for a while, was almost destroyed by fire, had some work done on it a few years ago but now remains empty. Planning to reinstate it as a care home then a children's daycare centre have been refused by the council. It would make an excellent family home among similar surrounding properties.
Passed it today when out walking. Had to cut the walk short as it started to rain and was very cold.
