Female blackbird

it is something, when at last i have found a food that black birds will do almost anything to have as their own. I am of course referring to apples. simply spiked onto a stick or feeder. high enough of course to be safe from pesky cats (we have significant numbers here) these have alone have made the birds very twitchy. and not easy to photograph.
I digress sorry. It is lovely to see daily, a pair of blackbirds visit our garden to feast upon our spiked apples. Not forgetting how much easier they are to photograph, being a. bigger and b. slower. making with some ease a simpler  task for my Nikon 24-200 lens
