Three Ladies Meet

This morning we visited the famous plaza in Ponce, a beautiful old (and second largest) city in Puerto Rico.  This was a moment captured while these three women chatted on the square.  The city was preparing for the huge Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration tomorrow.  A police officer explained that Ponce celebrates this holiday like no other because their old church is... Our Lady of Guadalupe.

From the square, we walked to the well known Museum of Art, only to discover that it was still closed due to Hurricane Maria, the tragic storm that hit the island several years ago.  The telephone message said that none of the collection had been damaged, but the building needed repairs both inside and out.

This afternoon, we spent at the hotel enjoying the amenities here on the Caribbean.  Extras are of the hotel view, the Guadalupe church and the fountain on the square in Ponce, of course named for the explore Ponce de Leon.
