the way we live now

Going out for a Christmas lunch (not a party!) used to be very simple. Now it means taking a lateral flow test, remembering your mask, not getting too close to other guests, opening a window for some fresh air, using hand gel and no hugs or handshakes. That's the way we live now.

It doesn't mean we can't have fun, though. Eight Sisters around a table and even though no alcohol was consumed, the conversation ranged through a lively selection of topics and there was a lot of laughter. It was especially nice to have Mim there, an ex Samba Sister who we all miss after she moved away from the area.
