Christmas lunch

We joined the Christmas Lunch at N’s golf club today. We were joined by our family, Jem, Mikki, George and Valentina. The Golf Club Christmas lunch used to be a lively affair with Carol singing and piano music. It was much quieter today, but the food was excellent as always. We had a spiced soup followed by a meat carvery which of course included turkey. This was followed by the usual selection of delicious desserts.
Meanwhile, outside we could see the golfers were practicing their putting outside the decorated windows. All the upper windows were open to keep the room aerated and it was not very warm.
It was better when we came back home and lit the log fire.
