Christmas city of the Netherlands!!!

Valkenburg is a real tourist place. There are caves that you can visit and there is a castle ruin that you can see from afar.
In the evening it is beautifully lit and is an eye-catcher when you stroll through the streets with the many terraces and souvenir shops.
In the winter the village is transformed into a Christmas town with a Christmas parade twice a week.
2 Caves are transformed into a Christmas market. Every year many buses with tourists come from all over the country who want to experience the Christmas atmosphere of Valkenburg.
However, this year everything is different. The Christmas parade is not allowed now. There are almost no buses with tourists and everything has to be closed at 5 pm. "Lock Down"
But despite that we had a nice day.
We left home at 12 noon and were back home after 5:30 pm. We had a lovely walk along the Christmas Market Stalls. We drank gluhwein and ate a delicious quesadilla.
Despite it raining and drizzling we had a nice afternoon.
You can mope at home because it's raining "weather", or you can make something of it. haha. We have done the latter. Haha.
And also had fun on the terrace. Lots of people walk by and it sometimes seems like it's Carnival. Some people wear really weird clothes when it rains.
t's a shame that you don't get the atmosphere of such a place on the picture. What you see in Christmas decorations never looks like it in the photo as it really is.
Everything is richly decorated. Heated Terraces. Christmas music. I love that.
