Noises from the SW Front

Dripping with Spanish Moss

It was a glorious fall day so we took a ride to New Bern, 90 minutes north. This was the colonial capital of the region back in the 1700’s and Governor Tryon’s infamous palace is located there. Had a wee wander about and a nice lunch. Thankfully, K had her wallet because I left home without mine - reading glasses too. Then I lost the plot a bit more with a missed turn on the way back that took us miles off course. Had a nice jaunt along the backroads, courtesy of our sat-nav. I think the sat Nav gets pissed if I don’t follow the preferred route and takes me on every back road it can find, as payback.
