Joining the Shore Path

Continuing our walk, the main photo was taken earlier this year.

CIRCULAR WALK - SOUTH STROMNESS:  PART FIVE

Here we have left Netherton Road and have joined the shore path - we are looking back towards Warebeth. (This and some extra photos taken earlier this year).

EXTRAS:
23  A view from the shore path
24  Continuing along the path (yesterday), and looking to our right over to Hoy (island).
25  This is a view going forwards with the barracks on our left and the Hoy High Lighthouse on our right in the distance. (yesterday)
26   In front of us is the concrete bunker for the WW2 searchlight, some golfers are out on the course on the left, and the Ness Point Light stands in the channel on our right.  The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Shorewatcher [my husband] is collecting data at the Ness Point site, next to the old Links Battery.  (yesterday)
27  We have passed the old Links Battery and we are looking towards Ness Point.  The ruin on the left is the original Stromness Lifeboat Shed.
