Make Every Day Memorable

By Jorgiesmum

I needed my thermals! (Back blip Friday)

A really busy day yesterday meant no photos although I could have taken one of Viv being flattened by an exuberant Jorgie, when she called in for a coffee.

JD and I set off at a reasonable hour to reach Kew by midday.
Having parked the car, always a concern, we then headed into the city by train.
The rest of the day was mapped out with a trip to the Sky Garden, dinner in Seven Dials and a visit to the theatre.
As usual we walked the South Bank to London Bridge. IT WAS FREEZING!
There wasn't too much spare time but I did a little detour under the bridge for this iconic shot of The Shard before viewing it from the top of the Sky Garden. We were lucky that the sky was clear and hopeful for a colourful sunset but it wasn't to be. However, the free ticket provided some great views up and down the river.

After dinner we went to see the new production of Les Mis. It was brilliant and IMHO the best version of the few that I have seen.
Most people wore their obligatory masks and the evening went without hitch until some female a couple of rows behind us, decided to have a phone conversation during the death scene of one of the principal characters !
Walked back to Waterloo via Trafalgar Square  - I think we (the UK) must have upset the Norwegians looking at the state of the Christmas Tree this year.
