Stonehaven

This morning we had a walk at the beach at Stonehaven. The sea was calm, and to my relief not too windy, though it was quite cool. Certainly to cold to sit around.

When we arrived at the Cowie end of Stonehaven we saw a solitary seal lying on the shingle. We were a bit concerned about it so we gave the seal section of the SSPCA a call. Based on our conversation they thought it was probably OK, but said they would send somebody to take a look at it.

On returning to the harbour we went to the Old Pier Cafe for a coffee and a very nice pastry.

It had been the intention to post a photograph of the latest addition to the metal sculptures situated along the boardwalk. However I am tempted by this seascape looking from Cowie towards the harbour end of the beach.
