When I called at the local garden centre yesterday these Tete-a-tete daffodils looked so cheerful that I just had to purchase some. 
I cut the lawns by the bungalow earlier and in doing so collected another builders bag of leaves, thankfully that's less for me to rake up.  
Thanks to lathyrus, the butterfly from yesterday has now been safely placed at the back of a shelf in the garden shed, hopefully to slumber away the winter and reawaken when the days are longer and the weather warmer.
