Almost....

I always think this Christmas tree could be one of the most spectacularly sighted in Scotland, sitting as it does at the very end of the coal pier in Dunoon facing the Clyde and easily seen from the ferries and other traffic as it passes.

But somehow it doesn't quite make it.    Not only are the pier paraphernalia in the way but  this  year the grass is growing through some of the tarmac and the electricity box and railings (including the crush barriers to keep people back ) could have done with, at the very least, a lick of paint. 

Still, it's the thought that counts. Maybe  next year....
