The Veteran - Tree #00117

All of the special trees in Epping Forest are numbered. I had to climb half way up this one to reach the metal tag that is hammered to the trunk in order to read the number. I was surprised to discover that it was number 117 which was (and still probably is) the number of the bus that I used to catch to school - Leyland to Preston via Bamber Bridge.
