Northwood House, Cowes

A very grey day made even darker by a visit to the dentist to check out a second broken tooth at an up front cost of £600 for a new crown!
I had soup with a friend as I couldn’t chew. We walked through Cowes and into Northwood Park. The Northwood House is a Grade II listed Georgian Manor House. Apparently Queen Victoria’s children attended lavish parties there.
I hate the place as it was once Council Offices and I worked there briefly in 1988. It was cold, draughty and our boss was straight out of a Dickens novel!
