Advent Calendar Day 14 - Christmas Lights

Turning into a side street away from the shopping centre, everything changed. Instead of rippling waterfalls of lights, the streets were hung with the Christmas lights of my childhood. Santas and snowmen, Victorian lanterns and giant candles - all connected by strings of coloured bulbs. For a few minutes I was ten again.
