View from Hartside

Often called little Switzerland is the Lake District, seen here from the hillside just below Hartside. A beautiful day, still a cold easterly wind with fast moving clouds scudding across the sky, but in a sheltered spot quite warm. Still evidence of huge melting snowdrifts just a little further up the hill. Plenty of lambs now - sunning themselves and playing little skipping games with one another - a very satisfying sight.
