More bad news

Mam called in the morning. 
She had medical assessments yesterday for a lump she found a couple of months ago. Poor mam sobbed as she told me it's cancer. I'm in shock. 
Trying to stay positive though. We had a long chat. She found it early. She's been seen reasonably quickly. They can treat it. She'll find out more next Tuesday but she's already decided they can operate and cut it out.
For now she's pretty much self-isolating and keeping herself as safe as she can be. 
So my January trip up might be postponed. She's already cancelled their trip to Spain in early February. 

We also had a team meeting yesterday and cancelled our Christmas meal booked for this afternoon. A plan to meet a friend for dinner on Thursday is also off as she is unwell and is going to take a PCR.
United's game was called off yesterday due to covid too.
I wish this virus would just go away. 
Today was not a good day.
