Making materials

Part of the training is always making materials from rubbish.  Each teacher had to make two play materials that would assist them in part to teach the Early Childhood syllabus through play!  One teacher made this as one of her materials - two lovely puzzles for the three year olds!  You really need to be creative to be a teacher here - we don't have books or posters in any of our ECD centres.  They are community centres so we have very little money to work with and usually we give the teachers a small thank you at the end of the month with what we get from parents!  Its a tough job here being a teacher!
