Mist in the Valley

Bright sunshine on the hills and mist in the valleys. The thick low cloud - an inversion is obscuring Windermere lake and the town is misty.  Caused by warm air being trapped by higher cold air cold air being trapped by warm air above (thanks AmBioran)  It was clear and cold up on School Knott but poor timing  because I missed the sunset after spending too much time faffing around looking for a geocache .   It must have been even colder in the town
