Back Garden Lights

We've always had lights in the back garden, along the wall and about halfway along the trellis fence. Some bits of the dangling lights have stopped working so this year we bought some new ones.
Hardly surprising the old ones had started to deteriorate, the tin they came in says 'Safeway'. The supermarket, Safeway in the UK, was taken over by Morrisons in 2004 and ceased to exist in 2005 so that makes those lights, at the very least, 17 years old!
The new ones, from Homebase, have 800 LED lights, mains powered and the lights themselves cover 40m. They go from the conservatory, right around the wall, trellis fencing, along the new fences all the way to the gate at the front of the house.
I've got an outside power point, with a cover, and the front outside lights are powered from that with a WiFi socket so the lights can be time programmed, or just commanded through the Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa), to turn on and off. I've added an adaptor into the WiFi socket so that front and rear lights can be switched on and off at the same time.
If I say "Alexa, Christmas lights on (or off)", I've programmed it so the front, back, christmas trees (outside and inside), window lights and the reindeer, all come on (or off) all at once.
We also use 'her' to keep our shopping list, switch on other lights in the house etc.
I once asked her "Alexa, What do you look like?" and she replied "I look like a lot of 1's and 0's", a very smart techno answer I thought HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You might notice that Jonty got into the picture too, plus it's our 47th Anniversary of the day we met, 18 December 1974, at an RAF Boddington Christmas 'do' at Longhope Manor, near Gloucester. Marlane was the daughter of the Sergeant (Peter 'Ziggy' Zegveld) on C Shift at 9 Signals Unit where I was stationed for the second time. during my RAF career. It was one of the UK's 'Secret Bases' ISS Boddington - Wikipedia
