Not Santa's boot

This is one of the Christmas tree decorations that is so old that we don’t remember where we got it, or why. Why a boot? I don’t know. With its shiny red colour and white fur rim, I thought perhaps it was one of Santa’s boots. But the ever reliable Google tells me that Santa’s boots are black. So our boot remains one of life’s little mysteries.
