Bristol vista

You would normally be able to see across Bristol to Dundry hill. Not today as son #2 and I ambled around Horfield Common, once a lawless, wild place on the edge of Bristol. Just next to this spot are the remains of some archery tumps. Henry viii apparently made it the law that every able man should go out and practice every Sunday with his longbow. No archers present today but plenty of dog walkers.
