The hospital car park. We left home in the winter sunshine and drove a few miles to meet our younger son for a socially distanced walk in the hospital woods and farmland.

Almost 6000 Covid19 cases in Scotland today, rapid spreading omicron now predominant. Plea from First Ministers of Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland for U.K. Government to release U.K. Treasury borrowed funds still goes unheeded. Devolved Governments have Public Health responsibility but no borrowing powers and fixed budgets; Public Health protective measures are hampered, as is the ability to compensate sectors. London now declared a major incident. Every two days the U.K. Government dithers, the problem becomes twice as bad and we have to do even more to deal with it; 185,000 cases in last two days.
