What a caper.

A cold easterly breeze and a dull grey sky greeted several hundred competitors (fancy dress preferred) for the Torrington Christmas caper this morning. Some challenging terrain including several muddy water features up to 50 cm deep, tarmac and leafy trails, woodland/forestry tracks and steep grass/muddy fields. The original 9 miles somehow became 10 + with mile 10 being survival of the fittest.
Superbly organised with mince pies and goodie bags for all finishers, I was fortunate enough to receive a prize for my age group which might be a nice accompaniment to Christmas dinner:. :)
A great atmosphere together with some really wacky colourful fancy dress outfits.
